New Tokyo Tower, designed by Tadao Ando with the sculptor Kiichi Sumikawa, was unveiled on November 24th, 2006. The inauguration of the tower, that will transmit radio and digital television signals, is scheduled for 2011. Beign 610-meter high, it will become the tallest skyscraper in the world, dethroning 553-meter high CN Tower in Toronto [cbc.ca / theage.com.au].
